In a Men's Division match, #97 Tomohiro Ishii defeated unranked Tomoaki Honma on 2/14/15 in Sendai, Japan to win the vacant IWGP NEVER Openweight Championship. The previous champion Togi Makabe was stripped of the title due to being out of action indefinetely with the flu. Ishii picked up 2 points plus 10 bonus points for winning the title. Honma entered the Rankings with an 0-1-0 record and minus 19 points.
