WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: 8/16/16

In Men's Division action:

#206 Heath Slater defeated #3 Randy Orton by DQ when Orton would not break on the referee's count. The One Man Band picked up 1 point. The Viper lost 1 point. After the match Orton continued to attack Slater.


WWE World Champion Dean Ambrose pinned #183 Erick Rowan earning 4 points. Rowan lost 1 point.


#1 John Cena pinned #7 Alberto Del Rio earning 24 points. El Patron lost 1 point. After the match Cena and A.J. Styles brawled.


     In a Women's Tag Team Division action: unranked Becky Lynch and Carmella defeated unranked Alexa Bliss and Natalya Neidhart when Lynch forced Neidhart to submit. Lynch and Carmella earned 2 points. Bliss and Neidhart entered the Rankings with an 0-1-0 record and minus 30 points. Naomi and Eva Marie both got involved in the match.

  
     In a 12 Man Tag Team match, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, MoJo Rawley, Zack Ryder, Chad Gable, and Jason Jordan defeated Aiden English, Simon Gotch, Konnor, Viktor, Fandango, and Tyler Breeze when Gable pinned English.


ALSO:

Dolph Ziggler attacked Dean Ambrose during an in-ring segment.


Apollo Crews attacked The Miz during an in-ring segment.


Baron Corbin attacked Kalisto in the locker room area.
