WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS: 5/2/17

In Men's Division action:

#8 Jinder Mahal pinned #13 Sami Zayn due to a distraction by the Singh Brothers. The Maharaja picked up 20 points. Zayn lost 8 points.


#26 Tye Dillinger pinned #185 Aiden English earning 4 points. English lost 12 points.


#11 Dolph Ziggler pinned #207 Sin Cara(2) earning 3 points. Cara lost 11 points. 


#14 Kevin Owens pinned WWE U.S. Champion #36 Chris Jericho to win the title. KO earned 18 points plus 10 bonus points for winning the championship. Y2J lost 11 points. after the match Owens continued to attack Jericho.


     In a Women's Tag Team Division match, #3 Carmella and Natalya Neidhart defeated unranked Charlotte Flair and Naomi when Carmella pinned Naomi by pulling her tights after a distraction by James Ellsworth. The Welcoming Committee picked up 2 points. Naomi and Flair entered the Rankings with an 0-1-0 record and minus 3 points.. After the match Carmella, Neidhart, and Tamina Snuka attacked Flair and Naomi. Becky Lynch attempted to make the save but was also taken out.


ALSO:  

A.J. Styles and Kevin Owens brawled on the rampway.


Natalya Neidhart, Carmella, and Tamina Snuka attacked Charlotte Flair in the locker room area.
