The NAWR is very sad to report the passing of Hector Garza earlier today [May 26. 2013] from lung cancer at age 43.
Garza won the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship from Ultimo Guerrero on Aug. 12, 2011. He held the title until he left the promotion on Nov. 11, 2011 to join the Perros Del Mal Producciones. Garza announced on Oct. 15, 2012 that he had lung cancer and was retiring from the ring. His final NAWR record was 1-1-1 and +59 points.
The NAWR passes our condolences to the family of Hector Garza, including his brother Humberto Garza Jr, a frequent competitor in Llaves Y Candados.
