WWE BACKLASH AND KICKOFF SHOW RESULTS: 9/11/16


In Men's Division action:

#11 Baron Corbin pinned #56 Apollo Crews earning 16 points. Crews lost 11 points.



WWE Inter-Continental Champion #19 The Miz pinned #10 Dolph Ziggler due to outside interference by Maryse. The champ picked up 21 points. The Show Off lost 11 points.



#37 Bray Wyatt defeated #4 Randy Orton by forfeit when Orton could not compete after Wyatt attacked him in the locker room area. Wyatt picked up 27 points. The Viper lost 13 points.



#15 Kane pinned #37 Bray Wyatt in a No-DQ Match due to outside interference by Randy Orton. The Demon picked up 18 points. Wyatt lost 11 points. 



#1 A.J. Styles pinned WWE World Heavyweight Champion Dean Ambrose after kicking him low to win the Championship. The Phenomenal One picked up 35 points plus 20 bonus points for winning the Title. The Lunatic Fringe lost 1 point.




In Men's Tag Team Division action:


#2 Jimmy and Jey Uso defeated #29 MoJo Rawley and Zack Ryder when Jimmy forced Ryder to submit. The Usos earned 19 points. The Hype Bros lost 2 points.




#28 Heath Slater and Rhyno defeated #2 Jimmy and Jey Uso to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Tournament and Championships when Slater pinned Jimmy. Slater and Rhyno earned 29 points plus 20 points for winning the Championships plus 20 bonus points for winning the tournament. The Usos lost 12 points but received 10 bonus points as tournament runners up.



     In a Women's Division Six Pack Challenge Elimination Match#11 Becky Lynch forced #6 Carmella to submit to win the first SmackDown Women's Championship. The other participants [all eliminated earlier in the match] were: #7 Natalya Neidhart, #17 Alexa Bliss, #5 Nikki Bella, and #9[IL] Naomi. The Irish Lass Kicker received 117 points plus 20 bonus points for winning the Championship. The other wrestlers each received a "No-Decision" on their records but lost no points.
