NXT TAKEOVER NEW ORLEANS RESULTS: 4/7/18


In Men's Division action:

#42 Adam Cole defeated #10 EC3, #76[IL] Ricochet, #84 Lars Sullivan, #107 The Velveteen Dream, and #119 Killian Dain in a Ladder Match to win the first NXT North American Championship. Cole earned 69 points plus 10 bonus points for winning the title. The other wrestlers each received a "No-Decision" on their records but lost no points.



#71 Aleister Black pinned NXT Champion #30 Andrade Almas to win the title when Zelina Vega's interference backfired. Black picked up 19 points plus 10 bonus points for winning the championship. El Idolo lost 17 points. 



#82 Johnny Gargano defeated #88[IL] Tomasso Ciampa by submission in a No-DQ Match earning 13 points. The Sicilian Psychopath lost 18 points.


     In a Women's Division match, #20 Shayna Baszler defeated NXT Women's Champion #16 Ember Moon by referee stoppage to win the title. Baszler earned 20 points plus 10 bonus points for winning the championship. Moon lost 11 points.



     In a Men's Tag Team Division match, #38[IL] Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly defeated #16 The Authors Of Pain [Akam and Rezar] and #37 Pete Dunne and Roderick Strong in a Triple Threat Match to win The Dusty Rhodes Cup when O'Reilly pinned Dunne after Strong turned on him. The Undisputed Era picked up 38 points plus 20 points for winning the Cup. The AOP and Strong and Dunne each received a "No-Decision" on their records but received 10 bonus points as tournament runners up.
