In a Men's Division match, #42 Hiroshi Tanahashi pinned #234 Kota Ibushi to win the G-1 Climax Tournament. The Ace earned 3 points plus 20 bonus points for winning the Tournament. Ibushi lost 14 points but received 10 bonus points as Tournament runner up.
ALSO: In a non-televised [as-yet] match, #365 Taichi defeated NEVER Openweight Champion #198 Hirooki Goto to win the title on 9/17/18. Taichi earned 4 points plus 10 bonus points for winning the championship. Goto lost 28 points.
