WWE DAY 1 AND KICKOFF SHOW RESULTS: 1/1/22

In Men's Tag Team Division action:

Unranked Ridge Holland and Sheamus defeated unranked unranked Cesaro and Ricochet when The Celtic Warrior pinned Cesaro. Holland and Sheamus earned 2 points. Cesaro and Ricochet entered the Rankings with an 0-1-0 record and minus 30 points.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso defeated #1 Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods when Kingston was pinned. The Bloodline earned 30 points. The New Day lost 1 point.

Raw Tag Team Champions Randy Orton and Riddle defeated #2 Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford earning 29 points. The Street Profits lost 1 point.

In Men's Division action:

#4 Drew McIntyre pinned #110 Madcap Moss earning 10 points. Moss lost 4 points. Later in the night Moss and Happy Corbin attacked McIntyre in the backstage area.

#96 Edge pinned #5[IL] The Miz due to the distraction of Maryse and Beth Phoenix at ringside. Edge picked up 26 points. Miz lost 19 points.

#16 Brock Lesnar defeated WWE Champion Big E, #1 Bobby Lashley, #20 Seth Rollins, and #68 Kevin Owens to win the Title in a Fatal 5 Way Match when he pinned E. The Beast earned 99 points plus 20 bonus points for winning the Championship. The other wrestlers each received a No-Decision on their records but lost no points.

     In a Women's Division match, Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch pinned #16 Liv Morgan earning 20 points. Morgan lost 1 point.
